In terms of walkability, lower Soi 4 features paved sidewalks that make reaching local hotels and venues straightforward on foot. However, due to heavy motorbike traffic, street-side outdoor seating, and dense evening crowds, pedestrians must stay alert. The speed of walking on foot easily beats taking a taxi or tuk-tuk during peak night hours when vehicular traffic gridlocks near Sukhumvit Road.
Noise levels on Soi 4 are exceptionally high near the entrance and around Nana Plaza, where music and street activity run continuously until 3:00 AM or later. As you move further down the soi (past 400 meters), the atmosphere transitions into a quieter zone occupied by mid-range hotels, serviced apartments, and residential properties offering peaceful nights away from the main entertainment hub.
Transportation & Getting Here
BTS Skytrain
Take the Sukhumvit Line to Nana BTS Station. Use Exit 2 to land directly at the mouth of Soi Sukhumvit 4 (approx. 1-2 minute walk).
Motorbike Taxi Stand
A primary motorbike stand operates directly under the BTS Nana stairs at the mouth of Soi 4. Rides down the soi cost 20–40 THB depending on distance.
Canal Boat Access
The Saen Saep Express Boat stops at Nana Chard Pier (at the end of neighboring Soi 3/Soi 11). A 10-minute taxi ride connects the pier directly to Soi 4.
